Vordan Karmir, Performance, New Media Installation, 2021
Curator: Bar Yerushalmi

Vordan Karmir is a unique crimson color produced from an Armenian cochineal, scale-insect indigenous to the Ararat Mountains area on the border between Armenia, Turkey, and Iran. In ancient times, this color, also known as "worm's red", was used for wall murals and to dye fabrics. The color is known for its high durability that enables it to endure for centuries.
